| This seems to be a consistent DHS theme when speaking to the fire and emergency services community, as Napolitano made a very similar speech in April to the Congressional Fire Service Institute's National Fire and Emergency Service Dinner in Washington, DC. (DHS never released the speech transcripts for that event so it was not posted in the KMS.) ... |

| Use of PDMP Data by Law Enforcement Meeting (May 25-26, San Antonio, TX) The Alliance of States with Prescription Monitoring Programs (ASPMP), in partnership with Brandeis University, and with support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), has the opportunity this year to hold topic-specific meetings in addition to their regional and national meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to respond to specific requests from the field regarding high-priority issues. The first topical meeting will focus on law enforcement’s role in Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs. |
